To get this working for the 4B, I had to build from scratch. To get that working, I also had to install

Network (Ethernet) Boot for Pi4

This web page, https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=117&t=246027 , states that the Pi4's bootloader (now on the EEPROM) does not yet support network boot but that Ethernet boot will be supported in a future update. I find it strange that your MAC addresses are so similar for eth0 and wlan0 as shown in

. On my Pi4, they are quite different. This may be a red herring but something may be amiss there. I'd be curious to know what others report as well as what yours looks like on your replacement Pi4.
