Remote use

I was just wondering if there is a web frontend or some other way that could be used to connect to wolfram that is running on pi. I don't have the device here and using VNC is *really* laggy due to relatively low upload bandwidth. it seems "Remote Development Kit" is no use too as it does absolutely...

Re: 320x240 LCD with integrated SSD1289 controller

Finally after many struggles i managed to get kernel compile, but then I noticed 2 section mismatches and pi wouldn't load the module. CONFIG_DEBUG_SECTION_MISMATCH shows this: WARNING: drivers/video/ssd1289.o(.devinit.text+0x82c): Section mismatch in reference from the function ssd1289_probe() to t...

You're right, i mistook them again :).

Re: 320x240 LCD with integrated SSD1289 controller

Could someone please take a look at this and tell if there is something horribly wrong with it? Basically I'd like to use spritesmod schematic and add few leds and an IR sensor to it. This screen is based on SSD1289. If someone needs its schematics or other stuff i found this file in manufacturer's site:

Re: pi as an encrypted offsite back-up solution

If you expect high traffic (e.g. LAN 3mb/s) you should think of some bandwidth limiter. I had NFS for some time on my pi but pi crashed every time I transfered something large.

Nintendo DS touch screen

Hi,

I just found this: Tutorial and schematic for it.
It would be nice to use with Pi, but I don't think pi has analog inputs. what kind of circuitry would be needed to connect it, and is it even possible?

Thanks :)

Thanks for reply!

I found datasheet for IR (38kHz version): http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/427/tsop341-219836.pdf. Looks like it needs 3-5mA.

Status leds and remote control

Hello, I looked at this project and now I want to slightly modify it to do something similar. I want to get these things: Power on LED Operating system on LED RESET button Infrared receiver (I took it from acer dock) I've never designed (or drawn schematics) circuits so it might lack extra component...

Re: Pi freezes after some time

I second your post, after some hours (at most 2 days) of unattended runtime pi just "freezes". Keyboard no longer works, hdmi produces no signal, ssh doesnt work etc. Red light is lit of course but not others (i dont use ethernet port atm). Looking at logs I see many empty log files created just bef...

Steps to connect / host are pretty similar in different libraries/languages so you can adapt for pi.

Powered usb hub

I want to connect external HDD and 3G-dongle to pi so I need a hub. But how do i put the cables? Can i just plug HDD to port 1 in hub, dongle to port 2 and then connect port 3 to usb port in pi? And can i still power pi like normal (phone charger)? Would this hub work? http://dx.com/p/cable-style-us...

Re: RS = Real Slow

Month late isn't long time if you talk about RS. At first 'express-interest' failed -> 2 month delay. Then after ordering it took 4,5 months to arrive so it was half a year. Only bright side is that I got 512mb version.

The newer Raspberry Pis don't have that limitation anymore. The older ones did due to the polyfuses Do you mean usb can output more than 100mA?
