Re: Driving SMD5050 LED strip using IRLZ34N

Thanks,

How do I give it more voltage when the GPIO only provides 3.28v? Would I need yet another MOSFET or transistor inbetween the GPIO and the IRLZ34N to raise the voltage.

Re: Driving SMD5050 LED strip using IRLZ34N

Are you saying I should be using a FET or I should not being using a FET, not sure what you mean.

The IRLZ34N is a FET, it's a 3.3v max gate voltage MOSFET

The Zero GPIO do not work at 5V

Driving SMD5050 LED strip using IRLZ34N

Hi, I am creating a temperature monitoring pi using a Pi Zero W and displaying the temperature as a colour on the SMD5050 LED Strip using the IRLZ34N as per https://dordnung.de/raspberrypi-ledstrip/ I am just working with one colour at the moment (RED) while testing etc. I have it all working but th...

Re: Temperature Equation using Pi Zero, ADS1115 & NTC 10K Thermistor

So what's the resistance of the thermistor at ~20.9 °C? If it's the typical kind it should be about 12 kΩ. I have several of the thermistors and they all measure approx 12kΩ What size is your high side resistor? Or is it a low side resistor? It's a 10kΩ Resistor. Not sure what high-low side is but ...

Temperature Equation using Pi Zero, ADS1115 & NTC 10K Thermistor

Hello, I currently use an Arduino to take outdoor temps using a 10K NTC Thermistor and it works well. I am know wanting to use a Raspberry Pi Zero W, now with the Pi not having Analog pins or a built in ADC I have purchased a ADS1115 which is a 16bit ADC I have hooked it all up to my Pi Zero and it'...

Re: Is my Zero faulty?

Thanks for the reply.

It was the cable!!! I tried another USB cable and it works fine, so that old lead is now in the bin.

Thanks

Is my Zero faulty? [solved]

Hi, I have been experiencing some issue with my newly delivery Raspberry Pi Zero W and being my first Pi I do not know if this is normal. I am running Raspbian Jan 2020. If the Pi just sits there doing nothing then all is fine however when something is happening it just keeps rebooting. Other things...

Re: What Memory is required to run webserver

What is it you actually want this web server to do? I run my own personal webserver that hosts my personal Football Data stats which is 99% my own usage only but is also available for others to use etc. Hence the low traffic. Previously it ran on an old quad core Q8200 PC. This has just died. My fo...

What Memory is required to run webserver

Hi, Looking to build a LAMP webserver using a Raspberry Pi 4. The webserver will be low traffic. I have not brought the Pi 4 yet, so I am asking if anyone has any experience of running a LAMP server on a Pi 4 and what memory does it require to use during operation. I am asking as I would like to kno...
