Re: Okay to place components under Compute Module?

The problem is the Power Dissipation of your LAN9514. ( typical nearly 1 W when 100BASE-TX ) And if there's no problems regarding to the power dissipation? Let's say, for example fitting the SD card socket below the module (in a case in which there's no need to change the SD often). Would it be pos...

Re: LVDS add-on for Raspberry models with 40pin GPIO

Change rgb_order in dpi_output_format and post the results (mentioning which order is used). Or post how dpi is connected on your Pi have you checked the transmitter data sheet and do you unterstand it? Or have you simply copied from the existig schematic? I've took the time to check your transmitt...

Re: LVDS add-on for Raspberry models with 40pin GPIO

Search the web for JEIDA and for VESA data mapping in LVDS. Your LVDS transmitter is not able to switch between the two standard mappings as LVDS data mapping is defined by HW connections EDIT: VESA mapping is the first picture in this post https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=15...

Re: LVDS add-on for Raspberry models with 40pin GPIO

1. Check your LVDS data mapping is correct 2. Check if rbg_order in dpi_output_format is matching your HW connections My guess is 1. Hello again, My guess is also 1, couldn't verify it yet though. By the way, this raises another question: I've been using MichaR's schematic as a guide for my desig, ...

Re: LVDS add-on for Raspberry models with 40pin GPIO

With wrong timings you can have everything: random data to no display at all. You have a timing chart, so start working from this. Hello again, I finally got the thing (almost) running! I still have some problems with the colours dpi_lvds_colors.jpg My guess is that there's an LVDS signal that isn'...

Re: LVDS add-on for Raspberry models with 40pin GPIO

What you've posted here is no timing data! It's the LVDS mapping - which is VESA btw. You will need to have timing data (see an example here https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=152468) of your screen; without you're screwed up Hello again, The link sends me to your ...

Re: LVDS add-on for Raspberry models with 40pin GPIO

Hi, I know MichaR's schematic and the LVDS transmittter he's using. Make sure it's control signals are correct (data mapping i.e,) for your display. As I'm using a different transmitter on my expansion board for the LVDS4CM3L board (https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=188450#p1385429...

Re: Expandable baseboard (slot system) for CM3

That's quite great job!
As I commented in another post, I'm trying to build a DPI to dual LVDS interface, and this seems it will also fit my application.
Could you share what IC are you using for your design? I'm open to change my initial design to test other options :)
Thaaanks!

Re: LVDS add-on for Raspberry models with 40pin GPIO

Hi aBUGSworstnightmare, may I ask if you have two spare lvds boards to sell? I would really like to buy two to play with our lvds displays that currently we are using on another board that have native lvds support. Thank you, Thomas let me know your e-mail address and I can send you the details. He...

Re: LVDS add-on for Raspberry models with 40pin GPIO

Hello Everybody, and ,pre specifically @MichaR and @@aBUGSworstnightmare, I'm also interested in building a DPI to LVDS interface for a screen with DUAL LVDS (so I'll be converting 24bit DPI to to SINGLE to DUAL LVDS). Right now I'm testing the first boards I designed for the specific scree, and as ...
