On my system if I use
fbset -xres 384 -yres 256 -depth 16

I get a much bigger play area , people will probably have to try different combos for different displays

Hi All, think I may have found a typo in retropie_setup.sh , in the configuration file creation then pc engine has a platform id of 42 , this should be 34 . If you run the scraper without changing this it bombs out, hope this helps
