Re: firmware update - networking issue

Solution: sudo ip link set wlan0 down In the past I've had both a wireless and a wired connection running at the same time on my Pi4, it seems that they now somehow interfere with each other. Maybe I was just lucky in the past when I'd temporarily plugged in an Ethernet cable to resolve poor wireles...

firmware update - networking issue

A couple of days ago I had a firmware update delivered. I now struggle to connect to the Pi4 reliably over samba to play videos over my LAN. Of course the two things might be unrelated, but whilst investigating I observed the following firmware issue: BCM2711 detected *** UPDATE REQUIRED *** BOOTLOA...

Re: Pi4 64-bit raspbian kernel for testing - Focus on Pi4

I managed to solve the USB drive issue reported above. Unfortunately I'm experiencing further errors relating to playing video and choppy Bluetooth audio. Also I noticed another error message which I added below. Linux 4.19.97-v8+ #1294 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jan 30 13:27:08 GMT 2020 aarch64 GNU/Linux [drm...

Re: Eclipse on Buster - Solutions?

Code::Blocks is another alternative, the one in the repo is fairly recent. Thank you... Which repository? As I can't seem to locate it within my current set-up Can anybody tell me what step or config option I left out that's preventing him form picking up the 1.37 upgrade? The link that follows sho...

Re: Eclipse on Buster - Solutions?

Always best to search forums: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=247832 I read that prior to posting... It's probably worth adding that the Eclipse IDE is still available to download from the Buster repository and doesn't work for me. Although Code - OSS (headmelted) is the sug...

Eclipse on Buster - Solutions?

I recently upgraded my Pi 3B to use Buster, but I've been unable to get the Eclipse IDE to work. It has been suggested on the Java forum to use Code - OSS (headmelted). However on installation and subsequent rollback of the IDE I get the following error message "Unable to start the C/C++ language se...
