Android KitKat fails to boot via BerryBoot on Pi 2

I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling. KitKat seems to boot, sometimes there's a vague flash of the android logo, after that it's always just a black screen. Other operating systems boot fine with BerryBoot.

Doom port for RetroPie

Hi.

The Doom port has no native music. There is a solution that involves converting the midi files to mp3 (from retroarch port) and then copying them into a directory into the doom folder. This seems quite laborious given how many levels of Doom there are. Is there no script/quick fix?

Inappropriate ioctl for device While reading flags

I want to move a file from /home to an external HDD. External HDD is successfully mounted on /mnt/. Moving the file, even as superuser, gives me a permission denied error. Directory is mounted with read and write permissions: /dev/sda1 /mnt ntfs rw,relatime,uid=0,gid=0,fmask=0177,dmask=077,nls=utf8,...

Re: Opening network stream with VLC on Raspbian

Ok, Omxplayer is a better idea than VLC. I found this guide which I followed: http://www.instructables.com/id/View-RTMP-Stream-on-Raspberry-Pi/ I have a live stream which I want to open in the form of: http://domain:port/stream.ts I don't think it is a RTMP stream. When I try and use this code from ...

Opening network stream with VLC on Raspbian

I tried opening a network stream on Raspbain, the audio streamed fine but I was stuck with a still image. Is there anything I can tweak in VLC's settings to make it work?

This is on the RPi 2.

Static IP with wireless

I'm using a wireless adapter with raspbmc. Is it possible to set a static IP address for wireless devices?

I've set auto DHCP off and input a static IP but it doesn't work. My router uses 192.168.1.x and I put 192.168.1.50 for the static IP but it didn't work. I also did "update now".

Change OS but keep XBMC settings

Hello. I want to switch from Raspbmc to Openelec or Xbian, but I want to keep my add ons/settings etc. I thought of backing up with the Xbmc backup add on on Raspbmc and then putting this on the new OS and restoring. Would this even work? Is there a better method? Also when I use the backup option i...

Re: Question about Raspbmc Xbox remote

Or you might just be able to use your ordinary infra red TV remote. With no extra peripherals whatsoever. (Which absolutely blew my socks off the first time I accidentally found out about it. It made me temporarily believe in witchcraft! (something very clever to do with a HDMI feedback channel fro...

Question about Noobs.zip

Is this the correct way to put noobs.zip on the SD card?

Or are you meant to have the contents on the SD card without the noobs folder?

Why doesn't my pi work?

I connect it all up and all I get is a red light next to the 'PWR' LED. How long does it take to boot? What lights are meant to come on during a successful boot? As for operating system, I extracted the NOOBS.zip onto the SD card. The card isn't corrupt as it retains data on ejection. Even if the PS...

Re: Unable to transfer Image to SD card

You seem to be doing the right things and the boot partition looks to be written OK. Unlikely that you have two faulty SD cards. Are you 100% sure that your SD card reader supports SDHC cards? It says "SDHC" on it so I assume yes. it's this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000VY80AM/ref=oh_d...

Re: Unable to transfer Image to SD card

"checksum the download", I'm not sure what this means. I did look up checksum but I am none the wiser.

And yes I did run win32DiskManager as admin.

I'll format the SD cards in a camera and try dd'ing the image in Linux and see if anything happens.

Fingers crossed.

Unable to transfer Image to SD card

I'm having trouble booting my model B and I believe it is due to the image not being transferred correctly. Sometimes when I transfer the image using flashnul it says it has passed without error but it appears to only transfer 56mb worth of data. Example output: c:\Users\X\Desktop\ras pi\flashnul-1r...
