Re: External usb drive causes wifi disconnection

Try an usb extension cable and keep distance between the usb-drive and pi.

(3) Mic Microphone with Usb Port (Unable to find relevant code)
You can use arecord with the parameter "-vvv" and pipe it to e.g. "/dev/null", regexp and convert the values. It works with usb-mics or webcams. But it isn't a calibrated/real dB output...

The RPF people are aware of the issue that some HDMI video modes generate frequencies that can interfere with WiFi, and, according to this post they are attempting to solve the problem with software:
Can they do the same "magic" with the USB3 interfere, please? :-))

Re: Pi 4 4GB- Wifi not working when resolution is set too high

The output of the script is (I replaced SSID and MAC address): ... Thanks a lot. I have very similar results respectively with HDMI switched on there is no connection possible. The only difference is that I use the original micro-HDMI cable and have a DVI-adapter directly at the monitor. 1920x1080 ...

Re: Pi 4 4GB- Wifi not working when resolution is set too high

Each single change in the following least leads to working WiFi (at least for now). So only one change necessary. using no converter using WiFi channel below < 10 (not really a good option when using Pi in different places) using monitor resolution different than 1920x1200 (in my opinion no option)...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4b WiFi 5Ghz (ac) bugs

I wonder if you could try some tests? Are you able to SSH in, if so can you turn off the HDMI when running in the problematic mode, then see if the Wifi improves? Use `vcgencmd display_power 0` to turn off power to the current display. (https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/raspbian/application...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4b WiFi 5Ghz (ac) bugs

Changing the HDMI resolution solved my WIfi problem.
Also plugging the cable to the micro-HDMI-1 port improved the signal quality.

I think it's a HDMI bug, because I'm using the official HDMI-cable.

Re: rpi-eeprom beta package - VL805 updates

After the update, am I the only one who got problems with the wifi?

A connection to a 2.4 ghz AP is no more possible.
5 ghz connections are possible but strongly restricted.

Re: Raspberry Pi 4b WiFi 5Ghz (ac) bugs

I have similar problems after the EEPROM update to 000137ab.
A 2.4 GHz connection to the AP isn't possible anymore and the 5 GHz connection is really weak :-(

Michael Kofler from pi-buch reported wifi problems, too:

Re: rpi-eeprom beta package - VL805 updates

I usually use a different OS on my RPi4.

When I use a second SD card with Raspbian Buster and perform all updates. Does this update the eeprom across operating systems?

So if I then insert my other SD card again with e.g. gentoo, are the changes from "000137ab" also present?
