Web Page Artwork...Who is your artist?

I have a bookmark on the top of my chrome browser that takes me directly to the blog (which I read most days and must say is brilliant) But with a recent iPhone mishap I killed my bookmarks, and went straight to the home page. Who does you graphics (today is a guy at a restaurant with a raspberry pi...

Thank you for the speedy response, but that has made no difference to the output, i still get 24.994 ohms or 0 ohms in a seemingly random order. I will keep tapping away, Thanks

SPI ADC MCP3301

Hello, I am having issues with my ADC in C. I`m new to SPI and reasonably new to C and I believe I am close to having this ADC read done but i feel the last 10% of the code is taking 90% of the time. The code has no real practical use yet but reading the ADC would help me communicate with the outsid...

Re: SPI wiringPi issue

I have ditched (well more like shelved until further notice) that code after realising I was trying to fly when I couldn't really walk. What I have now is just the MCP3301 on the SPI and I am trying to read the ADC value. I know gordon suggested writing a wiringpi driver for the MCP3301, But I didn`...

Re: SPI wiringPi issue

I don't like to email people directly, Especially on opensource topics like wiringPI. Today I have learnt that CE0 and CE1 stand for Chip Enable, which is similar to (exactly the same as) CS, chip select. Which makes life easier. As for the ohms = 3 that was just to get an output other than 0 for de...

Re: SPI wiringPi issue

Hi, Thanks for the speedy reply. I went back to basics this morning before I saw the reply. I stared by checking the spi module with lsmod and that shows spi_bcm2708 listed so I copied the spidev_test.c file on the website and compiled it. But when it ran I still got an error. Which makes me think I...

SPI wiringPi issue

Hello (Im guessing Gordon will be straight on this but any one with info is welcome to comment) So I had a Pi connected via UART to a PIC the PIC was then connected via SPI to an ADC (MCP3301) and the ADC was connected to a variable resistance. And everything worked fine. Measure resistance and feed...

Ok, So I work for part of a massive group of companies. I reside deep in the R&D, innovation solutions department of the rail division in York. Price: About the price of a Chinese takeaway!

Ok, so i try to read most pi related media. (i`m a massive fan of fruit based computers) and i really love the innovative price descriptions: The price of a text book, a Chinese takeaway, 1/10 the price of a pair of headphones made by a doctor who i`m guessing has no PhD. So i would like some innova...

GTK segmentation error

Ok so i have a large program that works and i then decided to add a few lines of code that would save my variables as a text file in memory. This routine cause a segmentation error (139) I removed the code to make a the text file and replaced it with printf("save"). Still i had the segmentation erro...
