Doesn't sound good. I've had a similar problem. A storm took out the HDMI on the TV and Pi3. Of course, the surge protection power board was sitting a metre away waiting for me to plug it in... That's a thought - does the surge come through the aerial or power? The Pi seems OK apart from that. They...

From your description I think it's pretty safe to say that the SOC has had some nasty voltages applied via the HDMI socket and is dead beyond repair. Quite possible that there's no visible damage to the board it will just be blown silicon structures within the SOC. Which model Pi is it and where ar...
