PS at the end of your post looks more like a postscript than you talking about pixel shaders.
Thank you. Looks like yesterday I didn't drink enough coffee :( Using "PS "and even full form of "PostScript" in GPU topic was very bad idea.

Re: Build Qt cross-compile toolchain on Ubuntu

It's a good idea to share info about qt version, target driver(broadcom/mesa for rpi1-3), rpi version etx. - you may find usefull - my old build of Qt5.12-base for jessie - rpi3/broadcom driver - and with a qtbase you can build other parts of qt. (note: around qt 5.12.1-5.12.2 detection script was c...

Re: Pi 4 - full specification of VideoCore 6

Can you please clarify your PS? Pixel Shader(PS) just display input/output texture, used in Compute Shader(CS). While CS(probably, you ask about it) - simple box blur filter with different size(good for debugging). And thank you for pointing on error on logic in sentence about WorkingGroups - I edi...

Re: Pi 4 - full specification of VideoCore 6

Just want to leave here - my evaluation of VC6 performance (via GLES 3.1/ComputeShader from latest mesa 19.3-dev - see @jamesh post from 20191011) show good performance dependency from frequency only on few values: 500MHz(std), and downclocked 300MHz, 250MHz. Values like 400, 600 and 700MHz don't sh...

Re: OpenGL on Buster on both Pi 3 and Pi 4

Device: V3D 4.2 (0xffffffff) Good to know, that you find a solution. What I am worry - it's a displayed device number 0xffffffff - it's shouldn't be like this. Erick Anhold (from Broadcom) working on V3D driver gallium for a while for Videocore V, but it's no info about VI. And it is no compute sha...

anytime you see vendor VMWare you are emulating...
This is completely wrong about emulation - VMWare is employer of Mesa creator Brian Paul (and Keith Whitwell too).
