Re: Power Raspberry Pi 4 via 40 pin connector?

Hi, I have a custom built case with 2x 24A 12V Meanwell PSU's powering 12 blade quattro boards. I run a mix of pi2b, pi3b, pi3b+ and a single pi4 (currently!!) - in total currently 44 pi's. I use 2x HP V1910-48G switches to link the pi's with an x86 used as the central server (and support network ch...

Re: Power Raspberry Pi 4 via 40 pin connector?

Thanks for the pointer. I have tested the Quattro with a single pi4 and it works fine - didnt know about not using 4. Re-reading the quattro specs its says 4A peak (3A continuous) which i assume was per pi but looks like its shared across all 4 pi's. Seems low given that a pi3b or pi3b+ does not exa...

Re: problems with raspberry pi 4b

I would try a different SD card in the first instance.

When you say the original PSU do you mean the PSU for the Pi3b etc with a USB C adapter or the newer 3A pi4 usb c adapter?

regards

Re: Power Raspberry Pi 4 via 40 pin connector?

The Quattro board takes 12V and steps it down to 5V and powers a pi via its 40 pin connector in each of its 4 slots.

It supports all previous PI's and i was looking for confirmation that the PI4 works in the same way.
