AFAIK you cant. The raw data is not comparable to that of a normal can because the way the sensor works. The sensors reads and records pixel by pixel instead of a one time exposure. I don't use thumbnails. This is the "purple haze" problem reported elsewhere. I'm using the 8Mp NOIR pi cams with no filters with Pi zero W and the motion s/w package.. Upgraded firmware. There is a problem with AWB off and AWBG that only effects the thumbnails right. Pictures stay the same color and have only brightness changed..
Seems to have to do with the new awb setting -awb greyworld . Just updated the firmware with rpi-update.and it works fine again and the greyworld option as added value.
I take that back, works not for the color, only the color of the thumbnails.
