Re: I don't understand the point of still using USB 2.0

Well i dont see a reason for a Raspberry Pi to do and handle more than 480Mb/sec (or 60MB/sec) transfers. Nor do i see the reason you need a Raspberry Pi to handle the full speed of USB3 (5Gb/sec or 640MB/sec). Whats the idea to build something that have a function you never going to use to its full...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 Thread - general discussion

Its really nice stats... However i am probably the only one whining.. What I really wanted was an 1ghz CPU with more memory, to top it off perhaps with some more cores.. making it faster will also make it more hungry for power. I would have liked to see a a variant capable to run from a 5V 2.1A powe...

Hmm.. you mean something that measure the size on the pupils as an example.. (some drugs make the pupils go small and some make the pupil go enormous

Re: The correct "over_voltage" settings in RPI 2B for (Overclock )

The "stable" overclock is 900MHz for the Pi2. It is already overclocked as high as it can go reliably across the board. Anything higher is up to you to find out and test for your specific chip. (Remember that the original Pi 1B was clocked to 600MHz to start with, which was revised to 700MHz once t...

Re: The correct "over_voltage" settings in RPI 2B for (Overclock )

Try doing some research (Google) on overclocking Raspberrypi. There are many stress tests out there, cpuburn is one of the better known but there are others that stress the Pi hardware in particular. But if I may ask, why do you want to overclock if you don't have an application that will test the ...

The lowest one that works reliably.
And how am i supposed to know that? Is there some kind of stresstesting script to find it out? or is it a guessing game. Suppose that the OS doesnt freeze, you can still have crappy OC settings but the CPU/GPU preforms badly or worse than it did before.

The correct "over_voltage" settings in RPI 2B for (Overclock )

Hi, I’m about to squeeze some extra MHZ from my RPI 2B, so im about to change config.txt. However i have seen several examples with different "over_voltage." settings online. I have seen values from 2, 4, and 6. Which is the correct one? ( a possible settings in config.txt?? Goal is 1Ghz. Standard f...

Re: Wifi hat for RaspberryPi 2B?

It's POWER DOWN , plug, POWER UP and play. You WILL shoot your RPi dead if you connect some stuff to the 40pin header while it's running. Oh.. yeah, thats right.. I have no intention to connect it while power is still on. My bad.. Theres a difference between USB plug and play and plug it and then s...

Re: Wifi hat for RaspberryPi 2B?

It's a HAT it is NOT plug and play . ONLY USB devices are plug and play. Hmm.. Yeah i believe you.. Found this, thats why.. https://www.raspberrypi.org/magpi/iot-phat/ The IoT pHAT is pretty much plug-and-play, coming pre-soldered with a 40-pin female header. Upon booting up, the Linux kernel reads...

Re: Wifi hat for RaspberryPi 2B?

Well either it gets to clumsy with an usb-stick almost as long as the case itself, or it will partly block one of the USB ports, or messy with cables or if you use the smaller ones it probably will be messy with the drivers.

I think it’s more an esthetic reason it would be great to fit all in a case.

Wifi hat for RaspberryPi 2B?

Is there or will there ever be an Wifi hat for Raspberry Pi 2B? (802.11a/b/g/n)

The question is interesting because a Raspberry 3B+ draws too much power for my current Smartphone-powerbank. So, IF I want to do some mobile projects where i need a powerbank Im somewhat forced to use the old RPI 2B.

Persistent RAM in raspberry pi 2B

If i change the amount GPU ram inside the raspi-config, will it be persistent, so if i change to another SDHC memory with another OS it still will remember the settings or do i have to add this for every OS?
