Re: omxplayer non-passthrough sound no longer works

Also, I read somewhere that it might be my RAM split, so I upped the GPU RAM to 128. No change.

omxplayer non-passthrough sound no longer works

I just did a reflash of my SD card to get the latest image, and now with the latest omxplayer (Raspbian) I have an issue. hello_audio 1 works fine. speaker-test works. aplay on the wav files in the python_games folder doesn't seem to work, but I'm not really sure about that. omxplayer -o hdmi -p som...

omxplayer stopping before file end

Since switching from the old official Debian Stable to the new official Raspbian, it seems that the bundled omxplayer on Raspbian stops playing some minute(s) before the end of a video file. This is annoying on long videos and makes short videos useless. Are other people having this issue? Is there ...

PyPy?

I know it's still only in experimental, but if possible could we get a pypy build for Raspbian?

Maybe too hard, given the nature of the project, but it is in armel so maybe it's possible?

Re: Moving Threads

People replied in the existing forum, and I got some help, so I guess just leave it now :)

Thanks.

Re: Swap space in free output?

Thanks for that reply. I see that it is, indeed, disabled in fstab

Re: X Windows Resolution

The resolution output from the HDMI does not change, but xrandr lists a lower resolution, and stuff looks big. So, the lower-resolution X output is being scaled somewhere.

Re: X Windows Resolution

I'm using the offical Debian image, and realised too late that this forum is for something different.

Re: Upgrading Raspbian?

Yeah, I relised too late that Raspbian is not "Debian on Raspberry Pi" (I'm using the official image).

Moving Threads

Apparently there is a "Raspbian" and a "Debian" board. I posted in the former and apparently intended the latter. Can my threads be moved?

Swap space in free output?

I have a swap partition on my SD card, and when booting I see the "activating swap" message, but when I run `free` it lists swap space as 0.

Is this a bug in `free` or perhaps my swap is not activating properly?

X Windows Resolution

I'm using HDMI output. Resolution in console and video playback seem fine, but X Windows runs at a very low resolution, making everything huge and not giving much screen real-estate.

Is this just because of the poor state of X drivers for the GPU? Is there a workaround?

Upgrading Raspbian?

Is `apt-get upgrade` safe right now, or are there custom packages/kernel stuff that isn't pinned and upstream might override?

I mostly ask because I see no Raspbian-specific apt sources...
