Re: Do Raspberry 3B+ support discontinuous mipi data?

timing is independent of termination - one is defining the speed transition timings, and the other is controlling lane termination. MMAL_BUFFER_HEADER_FLAG_CODECSIDEINFO is covered in https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=109137 The handling of the sensor non-image data path is no...

Re: Do Raspberry 3B+ support discontinuous mipi data?

I use the global shutter sensor ov2311 The raw sensor, or a module? I have ov2311 module from Arducam, https://www.uctronics.com/https-www-uctronics-com-index-php-arducam-ov2311-mipi-2mp-global-shutter-mono-camera-module-html.html and use it with arducam library that is raspiraw based: https://gith...

Re: Do Raspberry 3B+ support discontinuous mipi data?

Hi 6By9, I use the global shutter sensor ov2311, and set the .term with zero in raspiraw. If this correct considering "MMAL_PARAMETER_CAMERA_RX_TIMING_T are not set"? struct mode_def ov2311_modes[] = { { .regs = ov2311_2MPix, .num_regs = NUM_ELEMENTS(ov2311_2MPix), .width = 1600, .height = 1300, .en...

Re: Interface another cmos sensor with rpi

Hi 6by9,

I mean the GPIO1 in the CSI interface of rpi-3b. Our team thought the GPIO1 could provide mclk by raspberry. We will redesign the PCB, thanks.

Re: Interface another cmos sensor with rpi

Thankyou for your reply, I'm sorry for my unclear description. I have read the raw access mode post you mentioned and Is basically what I need as I will use I2C/SPI only for sensor configuration not for image capture. I have just some questions to ask you after full post reading (I did get only a q...

Re: Raw sensor access / CSI-2 receiver peripheral

Thanks! Your answer is really helpful. Looking forwards to the document. Hii, Im also trying to enable bcm2835-unicam, can you explain me what are the required steps? I read there is only needed to change the DT. Thank you! Sorry, I'd missed this one. This isn't really the right thread for discussin...

Thanks 6by9! What's the dev->isp_ip means in the callback function? if (dev->isp_ip) { MMAL_BUFFER_HEADER_T *out = mmal_queue_get(dev->isp_ip_pool->queue); if (out) { //vcos_log_error("replicate buffer %p for isp", buffer); mmal_buffer_header_replicate(out, buffer); out->data = buffer->data; out->al...

Hi 6By9, I want to connect mono sensor, is it correct to add the following codes /*isp module*/ status = mmal_port_parameter_set_uint32(isp->input[0], MMAL_PARAMETER_CAMERA_ISP_BLOCK_OVERRIDE, ~(1<<11)); if (status != MMAL_SUCCESS) { vcos_log_error("Could not set block override - update your firmwar...

Do Raspberry 3B+ support discontinuous mipi data?

Hi Everyone, I want to use a global shutter sensor on raspberry 3B+. The global shutter sensor can support caputre image by external trigger. However, when there is no trigger signal, the sensor enter standby mode, which means no mipi data. Can raspberry 3B+ mipi rx can support this kind of applicat...

Re: How to set I2C0 SDA0/SCL0 to GPIO0/1?

Why the persistence with dt-blob-dualcam.dts? You're providing the GPU with duff configuration and then complaining it does funny things. The solution is not to provide it with duff configuration. If you persist with dt-blob-dualcam.dts then you'll still hit the same issue if you run vcgencmd get_c...

Re: How to set I2C0 SDA0/SCL0 to GPIO0/1?

Dual-cam has defined two cameras, one connected to 0/1, and one connected to 28/29. It probes the first, remuxes to 28/29 and leaves it there. So if i have two cameras, the second will probes and the i2c bus will be i2c0 too? Can i2c0 be mapped to both 28/29 and 0/1? If using dt-blob-cam1.dts doesn...

Hi 6by9, i'm a new guy to raspberry CM3 which is i used now. I has a pi-camera V1 which is ov5647. But i want to change the camera module to other sensor. At the first step, i found that i can enable the dual camera through dt-blob.bin and then i config the raspi-config to enable camera. I connet th...

Re: Raw sensor access / CSI-2 receiver peripheral

Thanks for your repply 6by9. One last question, after the conversion to CSI2, what do I need to do in order to access these port in the Raspberry? As far as I read, this port only supports the Raspberry Camera Module. You have two choices, both of them requiring some effort from you. First is that ...

Re: How to set I2C0 SDA0/SCL0 to GPIO0/1?

See https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/2981 You've enabled startx which adds the camera. The V4L2 driver is now automatically probed on boot, therefore the GPU goes and muxes i2c0 to talk to the camera. Either remove start_x=1 because you don't actually want the camera, or blacklist bcm283...

Re: Inspecting Pi camera registers over I2C without need for logic analyzer

Hi HermannSW, I try to use your i2cread code to read the register of OV5647 sensor. I didnot run raspistill/raspivid before i2cread(i just try to read the default reg value in this way). I have test with "raspistill -o test.jpg" to make sure the hardware is working.(I add the dt-blob.bin from https:...
