How to see if wireless radio is powered off?
When wireless is disabled is the wireless radio off (no power to the radio) or is it just unreachable by the kernel? If just 2.4Ghz is enabled and 5GHz disabled? What about Bluetooth radio on RPi4? Power off or just unreachable?

Re: Where are all settings saved?
While setting up the Pi for the first time and experimenting with it, I breake it. Having not enough skills to unbreakable it, I just reflash it. "My project" has short deadline, I cannot afford debugging. :( Edit: and I test several different OSes ... and then Raspbian ... and different O...

A day before I could fully use the Raspbian desktop version (Version: June 2019) on RPI 4B. Next day it didn’t boot – successfully. I’ve disconnected everything and ACT LED blinks in a regular pattern. https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=58151#p1485558 Immediately after outpu...

Some difference between lite and full version of Raspbian OS
This is just an informational post. More or less intended to those who has never used Raspberry Pi and the official operating system called Raspbian OS. I’ve tested the Raspbian Stretch Lite Raspbian Stretch with desktop and recommended software https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/ --- Ra...

Why is temperature of CPU so high?
I‘ve copied the Raspbian Stretch Lite to the card, put it into Pi, boot. Then I’ve played with some settings sudo raspi-config (mostly locale) and setup wireless, … I went away for a while, came back and made some more settings. When I touched the Pi, it seemed hot to me. pi@pita:~ $ cat /sys/class/...

Direct connection to the Raspberry Pi
After installing Plex Media Server to the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, I would like to wirelessly direct connect to the Plex Server without a router or a switch. So that there will be only two devices: Raspberry and the other device which will stream content from Plex. Between these two devices will be ...
