Re: Vérrry old versions - magic place with updates?

Super thanks for the explanation. I honestly didn't know that. As long as I am not rinding a dead horse (an OS which will never be updated), I'm just fine with using stable software which is one or two years old. I am so happy that I am not longer dependent of an inexpensive laptop. I found somethin...

Vérrry old versions - magic place with updates?

Hi, I've switched from Windows 10 to Raspbian (6 pi's everywhere instead of one expensive irreplacable laptop). How very wonderful, I love it. USB detach, Xarchiver first file only

Hi all, I switched from Windows 10 to a Raspberry PI, and with great success. It took me about a day to figure out how to install and configure everything, and that is not much for 25 applications, finding some alternatives, and figuring how linux works. OK I was already using open source software f...

Re: Raspberry Pi B+ turn usb power off

I'm not sure whether this is the same, but I found out that "udisks --detach" makes my USB-sticks to really shut down. I'm not sure whether it is the power, maybe it is. When I do not detach the drive Windows10 always nags that the stick has to be checked for errors. Unfortunately the "eject" thingi...
