CP210x with LAN9514

Hi, I would like to add a RS232 input to my Raspberry Pi compute modules. As both UART are used and I'm using a LAN9514 as a LAN/USB Hub, I was wondering if I can simply connect the CP210x to this USB HUB. If it's possible, do I just need to add the CP210x driver to the Raspberry Pi or do I need to ...

Re: CM 3 plus SD1 interface

Did you check the Compute Module 3+ Datasheet: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... us_1p0.pdf ?

The SDIO1 is mentioned page 16 as a GPIOs alternative. You just need to add the sdio overlay on /boot/config.txt.

UART over BLE with PIN

Hello, I'm trying to set up my raspberry pi as a BLE server. The main goal of this is to connect a phone (android or ios) to the Raspberry Pi to turn ON the WiFi hostapd. There are a lot of tutorials on how to set up a BLE server (for exemple: https://scribles.net/creating-ble-gatt-server-uart-servi...

Re: Pairing to bluetooth using a password

I found this answer which works for me : https://stackoverflow.com/a/52164888 Create a configuration file : sudo nano /root/bluetooth.cfg Edit the file configuration with the mac address and the pin code : XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX 1234 Or if you want a pin to all the devices the same pin code, for example ...

Pairing to bluetooth using a password

Hi, I want to connect my device (phone, computer..) to the Raspberry Pi Bluetooth without any access to the Raspberry Pi. I have seen the solution bellow that automatically accept Bluetooth pairings but it's not safe and anybody can connect to the Raspberry Pi Bluetooth. https://raspberrypi.stackexc...

LAN951X without EEPROM

Hi, I would like to add the LAN9512 to my Raspberry Pi. In order to reduce the footprint, I thought I wouldn't connect the HUB to an EEPROM. I know that you can use the LAN951X without EEPROM and I was wondering if it's easy to configure the LAN/USB HUB without it. Do you guys recommend adding an EE...

Re: Slow shutdown/reboot when hostapd is running

It might not be hostapd but dhcpcd.service or dev-serial1.device.

Is there a way to analyze the shutdown time? (Like systemd-analyze blame for the boot time)

Re: rpiboot not working anymore

Ok.

I'll need to install a dual boot to try to flash it because once you run rpiboot on Linux, the USB go back on windows where the image isn't recognized.

Re: rpiboot not working anymore

Yes, it works with another raspberry pi.

I first thought the CM3+ was broken but I don't understand why I would have the log in my first message if it was really broken.

Slow shutdown/reboot when hostapd is running

Hi,

I'm using my Raspberry Pi CM3 as an access point with hostapd/dnsmasq.

For the past week, the raspi sometimes takes a long time to shutdown when hostapd is running.

Do you know if it's a new problem ? I'm using this version 4.19.42-v7+.

OK, I found the problem. The server tried to use the GPIO25 which is used for the SDIO communication.

Now all work as expected, thank you for your help !

Re: rpiboot not working anymore

If you're not already, try running the rpiboot on a Raspberry Pi rather than on a Windows machine, which can often fail to recognise mass storage devices that aren't properly formatted... Then have a look at the output from dmesg, lsusb, lsblk and blkid Gordon But I can't access anymore to the Rasp...

Re: SDIO1 CM3+ WILC1000

Hi, Thank you for the precision. Yes, I am building the driver locally without any dependencies so I don't have to rebuild the whole kernel. I don't know if this can cause stability issues but at least it works for my test. You have managed to merge the sdio-overlay with the one you sent or do you y...

Re: SDIO1 CM3+ WILC1000

Hi ! Have you succeeded to resolve your problem ? For my side, I decided to buy a new module and it work now (well, sometime at least). However, it doesn't run at the boot (the module wilc-sdio.ko is not loaded even if I added wilc-sdio in /etc/nodules), but this is a minor problem. One more thing, ...

SDIO on Raspi 3B+

Hi,

Is it possible to add an external device that use SDIO interfaces with the Raspberry Pi 3B+ if I disable the build-in WiFi chip ?

If so, which GPIOs should I use ?

Re: SDIO1 CM3+ WILC1000

Hey Antoine, Thats good news. Congrats. I think the wiring is a big contributor to the oops, but also I think there is a bug in the driver that does not gracefully handle a CMD52 read operation failure. I will try to contact the maintainers to get it sorted. I am trying to get the SoftAP working. I...

Re: SDIO1 CM3+ WILC1000

Thank you. I don't have the same version as of ATWILC1000-SD as you. I guess that the pin above the 9 SDIO pins are chip_en, irq and reset, right ?
