Is there an Adobe Acrobat Alternative that does Color Separations??

Hello, I am working with a printing company that has about 10 or so Adobe Acrobat Pro subscription licenses that only get used for one feature, color separations https://helpx.adobe.com/au/acrobat/using/previewing-output-acrobat-pro.html . This is a lot of money for a product that is barely used (to...

Re: PiSignage Network Boot

Please excuse me for reviving a dead thread, but I was wondering if anyone got this to work specifically with PiSignage. I had another SD card die on me today, so I tarballed the PiSignage .img file ( https://github.com/colloqi/piSignage#method-1-download-image-and-prepare-the-sd-card ) and loaded i...

Re: Desktop Icons for All Users

Keep in mind that the linked website suggests using an autostart .desktop file to execute that command when each individual user logs in. In that case the bash part do is relevant, otherwise variables like $USER may not be filled in... As in: sudo leafpad /etc/xdg/autostart/commands-to-run-on-login...

Desktop Icons for All Users

Hello, I'm working in chroot to customize the image that the PiServer tool gives my PXE clients. One thing I'm attempting to do is provide the same desktop icons for all users including any users that may get created later. I'm found the following thread, but it doesn't seem very clear to me. I get ...

Re: Configure PiServer Tool to Listen on Multiple Interfaces??

I set up the PiServer tool on a VM and configured it to act as DHCP relay, I assume you configured piserver as proxy dhcp. DHCP relay = broadcast forwarding = ip helper-address So something else. I attempted to set up an ip helper, but I have been unsuccessful in getting it to work on any subnet ot...

Configure PiServer Tool to Listen on Multiple Interfaces??

Hello, I set up the PiServer tool on a VM and configured it to act as DHCP relay, but I need it to boot clients from multiple subnets. I attempted to set up an ip helper, but I have been unsuccessful in getting it to work on any subnet other than the one the PiServer tool is on. With that in mind, i...

I'm looking for a similar cooling solution for my septic pit level monitor, except I'm using a Pi 3 B+ with a PoE HAT.

What Operating System / machine is PiServer running on??

https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/r ... i-desktop/
It's the x86 version of Raspbian running as a VM in ESXI 6.5

It is not Raspbian:

Re: How do I get the piserver tool to pull from a specific AD OU?

IDK, maybe from the terminal. The GUI doesn't seem to provide any advanced options for configuring LDAP. Also I found that once I set up an LDAP connection, there's nowhere in the GUI to modify it. I thought I'd try this tool since it comes preloaded on Raspbian, but I might have to look into other...

How do I get the piserver tool to pull from a specific AD OU?

I am setting up the piserver tool to test raspi pxe booted thin clients at work. The problem I'm having is that it is not importing the users I need from Active Directory because they are in a sublevel OU. Is there a way to specify an OU? We have thousands of users, but I'm only responsible for abou...

Septic/Sump Automation Project

I live in an area that occasionally floods after a bad storm or heavy snow melt and my septic and sump pumps struggle to keep up. I decided to automate my monitoring and stumbled upon the Raspi-Sump project (https://www.linuxnorth.org/raspi-sump/). All tested well and I got it working. I'm even modi...
