You can skimp on anything else but IMO, never power supplies. A crappy keyboard or mouse won't do any harm but a botched PSU will.

I got a rather nice Logitech K360 Wireless Keyboard with a nice gold decal and a unifying receiver which latched onto my Logitech Mouse nicely. Well worth the £25 :D
