Here's one for you all.. The networking guru's should work this out easily...

Can I make a suggestion for a case (I'm not clever enough to make one) make it stack-able.
Just think 2, 3 or even 10 raspi's stacked up each churning away at their own individual tasks :p
Would save quite a bit of space.
<r>you must bear in mind that Freenas is a FreeBSD variant. It would be difficult to achieve a working FreeNAS raspi box as you'd need to make drivers ect.. here is a link to the FreeBSD arm port <URL url="http://www.freebsd.org/platfor.....s/arm.html">http://www.freebsd.org/platfor.....s/arm.html</...

<r>That certainly helps, I didn't think of radio communications.. that would however present some problems that would need looking into. WiFi would be pointless on a long range UAV (it would never be in range for long enough).<br/> <br/> Might have to revive my idea that I mentioned above <E>:P</E><...
<t>I like your idea, I was thinking of making a security drone to watch over my motorcycle whilst at work a year or so back. The main problems would have been getting it to keep up with my bike and keeping it up in the air (for a normal winged rc aeroplane this would have been a problem).<br/> <br/>...
