any update on the state of this ? on latest stretch version regardless of flags set I see my video_decode via media-internal url flip flop between mmal and ffmpeg ? that means when the html5 video plays through mmal its ok although I some frames do drop and on ffmpeg its way too choppy..

Hey Mike, this might be a dumb question but would this allow me to view chromium html5 videos at 1080 full screen. Via HW/GPU mmal acceleration. Im not looking to download the videos or use m3u streams.

Ant advice is appreciated.
