Re: Raspbian buster and GQRX

Hi wren, Thanks for your reply. I was trying to avoid using pulse audio if I could. Checking the details of gqrx-sdr package, you would have to go back to jessie to not have pulseaudio pulled. I do have it working in raspbian stretch (see my first post) but I was thinking of getting a raspberry pi4 ...

Re: Raspbian buster and GQRX

Hi SkyRise. Thanks for your reply. Have you looked at the alsa mixer (I think there's a CLI and GUI version) and checked that the volume on the source is not muted Yes I've done that. Sound card BCM2835 ALSA(Alsa Mixer)(Default) and PCM set at about 75%. Other sound media (ie music) play through thi...

Raspbian buster and GQRX

I have GQRX software defined radio working in raspbian stretch on a pi 3b+. I thought I would try raspbian buster on my pi 3b+. All went well and I installed what I normally use in stretch in buster. Every thing works properly except GQRX. The version I used (gqrx-sdr-2.11.5-linux-rpi3.tar.xz) was t...

Re: Raspian running Arduino IDE uploading code to Al-thinker ESP32+cam clone

Hello Gents, Thanks for your replies and the information. I thought it might be the case that I would not be able to do this on Raspbian when there was no arm version on github. I'll try to get the linux 32 version to install in Arduino IDE in Debian. I only have Win XP and am hoping to avoid using ...

Raspian running Arduino IDE uploading code to Al-thinker ESP32+cam clone

With the help of forum member scruss I installed the arm version of Arduino IDE on raspbian stretch. (see below from post 3) https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=237888 However, I now have a new problem using Arduino IDE with raspbian. I wish to upload code to an Al-Thinker ESP32+...

Re: Raspian and running Arduino IDE

Hello scruss Most Arduinos come flashed with Blink out the box, so it's probably blinking from the start, then there's a mess of other LEDs blinking while the programs uploads, then the same LED will flash at the same frequency when your copy of Blink has loaded. Change one of the delay(1000); lines...

Re: Raspian and running Arduino IDE

Hello scruss, Thanks for your reply and the information and the info therein. "Are you running current Raspbian Stretch" Yes, but have not updated/upgraded for a couple of weeks so just done that. Running lusb gives the output you suggested. Running ls -l /dev/ttyUSB* gave /dev/ttyUSB0 so it looked ...

Re: Raspian and running Arduino IDE

just plug and play.... Well as I had read that up to date kernels now had support for this chip I also thought it would just work, however, this is not the case. I have also read that even kernels that are definitely known to have support for the chip still don't work without the driver. I am fairl...

Raspian and running Arduino IDE

Hello All. This is my first post on this forum. I think I've got it in the correct place but if not perhaps a moderator would be good enough to move it for me. I bought UNO R3 ATmega328P Development Board clone from Banggood. I would like to be able to access it from my Rasp Pi 3B+. I can download a...
