Re: RS232 Shield With Raspberry Pi

I have the same board and had a heck of a time getting it to work on my Stone TFT display board. I found the C soure code that's found in here works ok and tried communicating with my laptop. I used my laptop to setup the TFT display and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work on the Raspberry Pi3....

Re: g++ compiler can't find include files

Hi all, Just wanted to p[ost a followup to may rash of complaints earliert today. I won't appologize because I did spend abou a month trying to get things to work on the serial port. Re: g++ compiler can't find include files

I've had the same problem for months now. Raspberry doesn't seem to like C. Well all of the libraries, or "Include" files return errors. Re: GPIO + LED + resistor

Yes, well, I connected my LED from the 3.5v pin with a 470 ohm resistor and the other end to pin 18 as in the two examples, one in the book and the other from Wiki using Linux and pigpio.h. Under the Python Language and Linux as above, the LED flashes brightly. However, I'm partial to Linux and trie...

Re: New "gpio" config.txt command announcement

I tried the commands in terminal and most work, but I have an issue the I hope can be explained. Terminal mode write pin 18 works for 1 and 0 but I have an led connected between that and the 3.5 v supply via 470 ohm resistor. What happens is, when I write to pin 18, the readall command reports chang...

pigio.h library

I am using Linux to address the GPIO with pigio.h library and tried the flashing program from Wiki. It works perfectly, except for one problem when I was playing around with the code. Whenever I put in any printf commands, anything within the timer loop was suppressed until the program was terminate...
