Re: raspberry pi 4 boot from ssd

Did you create a FAT partition to put /boot on when you first set up your SSD? If not, wiping it and starting over is probably easier. However, it is possible to use gparted to move the start location of the EXT4 partition and then use that space to create the FAT partition. Takes awhile and is not...

Re: RPi4 boots from usb2 not usb3

I blacklisted it and rebooted with it connected to usb3. Managed (after a LONG time) to get to the boot page with the white square and the single berry on it. Just powered down. Did move the sd card to another computer to rename my backup of cmdfile.txt. Saw a file cmdfile.txt.tmp that was about 12k...

Now it sends me a "B" in morse code (3 short flashes followed by a long from the green led next to the power led)
Isn't that "V", as in Beethoven's 5th symphony? IIRC "B" is dah-di-di-dit. :ugeek:

Re: STICKY: USB boot now working on Pi3

Thank you the reply. Still no joy..... Did every step. Once I did the FAT32 with bootcode.bin I had the rainbow screen. Then I added the file timeout (empty file) to the FAT32 partition. Now it sends me a "B" in morse code (3 short flashes followed by a long from the green led next to the power led)
