GPIO gives no power

Hello, I've probably the oldest public revision of Raspberry Pi (made in China, 256MiB RAM). If needed, I can find more details. I've tried to start playing with GPIO. The initial step was to try to take some power. I've looked at http://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/usage/gpio/ . While taking c...

Re: Java on Raspbian

It is a bit strange:

"ARMv6/7 Linux - Headless EABI, VFP, SoftFP ABI, Little Endian1"

So, it probably uses hard FP, but it requires SoftFP ABI.

Re: Java on Raspbian

As far as I know: * Jazelle is not very fast. Modern JIT (consumes more RAM) or AOT (ahead of time compiler, needs cache for fast start) perform often better. * It may need J2ME StackMap and old JVM bytecode version, but I am not sure. * It requires implementation of those instructions; it is just a...

Re: Raspbian and CUPS

There is a simple solution for CPU load (with some restrictions): 1) Start adding a new printer on Raspberry PI. 2) Select manufacturer = Raw 3) Add the printer on local computers with appropriate drivers This seems to let do the CPU intensive computations on clients, so CPU load on Raspberry PI is ...

Re: Can we compile Opera Mini ?

First, J2ME is not "less native" than J2SE in bytecode point of view. J2ME just satisfies some extra restrictions (old bytecode version, StackMap), but any valid J2ME bytecode is a valid J2SE bytecode. Second, Jazelle is AFAIK not very fast, it is just less memory consuming. But Raspberry PI has eno...

They tell us the Raspberry PI is in stock. They also told me they send it immediately after receiving the money from bank.

If they have a real Raspberry PI, why would they use a photo from forum?

RLX.sk: Raspberry PI in stock?

Hello, I've found this another distributor of RPi with five items in stock and 35,88 € price. It is supsicious a bit, since other distributors (Farnell and RS) have sold these devices out. http://www.rlx.sk/product.php?id_product=748 Should I trust them? They probably haven't been mentioned on this ...
