I wrote up the instructions here:

Re: gpsd documentation

Well actually I've already been there and I have a couple of problems with that page: 1. This (http://www.catb.org/gpsd/client-howto.html#_python_examples) is actually the latest version of that page (it seems gpsd have moved their website, but not redirected the old one). 2. So table 1 seems to be ...

USB GPS

So I want to make my Pi into a car computer with GPS. Does anyone know if there are any code samples anywhere which pull the latitude and longitude from a USB GPS device?

Then you could text your garage door to be open by time you get home!

Better still have a second RasPi in your car with GPS to open the garage door when the car gets close to home.

<t>Found it. Comment on the blog from Liz:<br/> <br/> \"There are no mounting holes in this iteration of the design. We hope to ship with some (hopefully 2) mounting holes – there are places on this board where we can fit them in, but that’ll need to wait for Pete’s return. See, for example, the top...

<t>@kme I wan\'t suggesting that they give away any of the first batch. You bank the gifted ones for now and donate them next year when you have some educational uses. <r>Personally I think it\'s a shame that you are not going to enforce the buy one give one for the first couple of weeks.
