Record and play audio input

I will be doing an experiment where people can press a button and then say a command. I'll be in another room and answer their request. It is currently planned, that I remotely access the Pi via RealVNC from another room. What I need is, that after they press the button, the Pi starts recording audi...

Intercept voice commands before they are beeing processedd

I'm planning on doing an experiment for my bachelor's thesis, where we will setup a Google Assistant or Alexa device and see how people would interact with voice assistants in a certain environment. It's basically a Wizard of Oz experiment ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wizard_of_Oz_experiment ). I...

Re: Raspberry Zero W + pHat DAC + access GPIO Pins

First of all thanks! I've a (probably stupid) follow up question. This header is what I need https://www.amazon.de/Adafruit-GPIO-Stacking-Header-ADA2223/dp/B071H8R8C3/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1548586742&sr=1-2&keywords=female+Stacking+Headers ? I have to solder this header to my pHat Dac, ...

Raspberry Zero W + pHat DAC + access GPIO Pins

I bought a Pimoroni pHat DAC for my Pi Zero. However, a thing I didn't consider, if I solder the included female header to my DAC and plug that onto my Zero. Then I'll lose access to the remaining GPIO pins. I would like to add buttons and one LED to my setup. Is there a way to do this? I haven't so...

Re: Speaker audio without losing access to the headphone jack

So I've found this: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-max ... p/overview. Is there something like this that also includes or gives me the option to add a headphone jack? Also my OS is Android Things, might be a necessary information...

Speaker audio without losing access to the headphone jack

Hey guys, I want to add a speaker to my RPi 3, however, I still want access to the headphone jack, in case I want to use headphones. Is that possible? A single speaker would be enough to be honest.

Also are there any speakers that can be powered (not audio, only power) by the GPIO pins?
