Not too sure what I've done wrong, however, my case is about 15mm too small for the PI. No amount of forcing it will get it in, it will just rip.

Yeah, my only issue with not cooling it is that my phone ( Samsung Galaxy Note) gets very hot after only 30 minutes of gaming.
