I think it's working now!

In vlc i have changed extra->preferences->video->output to x11 and now i have the newsfeed in the front.

No its not working.
The bash is great but Vlc stays at the front

The strange thing is when i open vnc i have tickr in front but on the television not.

Any idea?

It works thank you they both starting!

But somehow vlc stays in the foreground and tickr in the background.

Any idea how that is possible?

Because now the newsbalk is kinda useless haha.

ok thank you too, but tickr starts behind vlc and not before. so you don't see the news bar.

if I put both in the script it only starts the first and only the second when the first is closed.

any idea?

Thank you it works.

Can I also start something delayed? The movie starts slower so tickr is behind it and not before it. Therefore you do not see tickr.

Start tickr and vlc video when raspberry start up

Hello all,

i would like to restart tickr and a vlc video automatically when restarting my raspberry.

What is the best way and does someone have an example script to do this in python?

I would like to hear your opinion

Thank you for your comment. I now use the gnome weather which is only on the large side for a presentation.

I unfortunately couldn't get the other one going.

Hoi Wim,

Beetje laat, maar ik had er toen ook problemen mee.
Tickr werkt niet(niet goed) met https rss feeds ik heb destijds daarom ook gekozen voor een rss feed voor het nieuws van Nos deze is http en voor het weer knmi deze is ook http

Its working now with tickr and its working great!

The only thing now i wanna know how i can start tickr when pressing f5 and start the presentation!

Any ideas?

Tickr kan idd op de voorgrond maar bij een full screen presentatie lukt dat nog niet jij enig idee? Zodra de presentatie loopt: <alt> ingedrukt houden en op <tab> drukken tot je bij Tickr bent. Presentatie loopt automatisch!

Ik ga even kijken wat de mogelijkheden zijn voor een Nederlandse nieuws site.

nu.nl nieuws balk onder presentatie

Hoi allen,

Ik wil voor een klant graag een lopende nieuwsbalk onderin het scherm.

Er loopt gedurende de dag een powerpoint en tijdens de powerpoint moet er onderin een nieuws balk komen.

Het gaat op een raspberry met raspbian.

Kan iemand mij hierbij helpen?
