Re: Baking Pi screen01

I got over having to replug the hdmi cable by setting the alignment of the framebuffer request to 4 (rather than 12) and explicitly writing zeroes into the unused locations, though I'm not sure which of those made the difference. I'd like to try this. Probably a silly question, but can you post you...

Re: Flashing the LED 5 times.

I've found it very useful to flash the OK LED on the Pi board to see where my code has got to. Flashing specific sequences (eg 2 flashes repeated twice or 4 flashes repeated 3 times) is a great way to distinguish between different bits of code. (If you have a breadboard and the most basic electronic...

Re: Baking Pi screen01

I'm delighted to say that after many hours trying every possible combination of all suggestions, I've finally got to the same point as most other people - it will now work but only if I unplug and replug the HDMI (which I don't like doing either, it feels as if it might have a limited life). My solu...

Re: Baking Pi screen01

I've loaded DexOS and it boots ok and displays the initial screen. (I've posted separate feedback on keyboards on your Raspberry Pi OS thread).

Not sure where this leaves me though. Does it mean I need to switch to using your frame buffer code?

Re: Raspberry Pi OS

Your OS boots fine and looks ready to go but none of my 3 keyboards work. Fujitsu SK-2500-2D Microsoft RT2300 Acer SK-9620 However, they're all PS/2 keyboards and all plugged through the same unidentifiable ("made in China") USB to dual PS/2 keyboard and mouse adapter, so it's possibly this that's t...

Yes. Currently I have the following lines uncommented in config.txt

Code: Select all

kernel_old=1
hdmi_safe=1
config_hdmi_boost=4

Re: Baking Pi screen01

I'm rather envious of those who are getting this to work! I managed OK01 to OK05, the latter only after adding the line kernel_old=1 to config.txt Screen01, however, I can't get to work - not even the downloaded solution. I've added some code to flash different sequences at different parts of the pr...
