Re: Video recording alternatives with the pi camera modules

You mean SD card? Not really, but I AM trying something other than Raspberry OS, still based on Raspbian anyway.

I'll try it on both OSes and see what works, thanks.

Re: Video recording alternatives with the pi camera modules

Well, I just did, and while it is perfect on the desktop, it did not find the camera module on the pi.
Something to do with having to configure the camera as V4L2 or something translating it as a usb device.

Video recording alternatives with the pi camera modules

I'm... Surprised to say the least, that there is not a single video recording option besides the terminal commands or the old pi camera app script. Basically, I wanted to try and record stuff directly on the pi, for experimental purposes, but I couldn't find any sort of program or tutorial for that,...

Camera, hardware, and streaming/recording

Hello, I've saw some things online about the pi and the HQ camera, and needed to get some answers that weren't well answered after some decent searches on youtube and google. I'm planning on acquiring the rasp4 8gb model for a few reasons, and one of them regards Video recording, streaming and maybe...

Re: Flash in 2020/02 Buster for Pi4/Chromium

I believe you're having a problem similar to mine. Flash Player is "installed", but it seems to work only for chromium, while we need it outside of the browser. I'm trying to run a game, "Super Smash Flash 2", but it simply won't run, be by itself or through terminal. The game comes with instruction...

Thank you for such a wonderful article and sharing. God bless you.! Hope it's useful to you! Yes the original information was related to Raspbian Stretch, Raspbian Buster is a new release not an update: https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/buster-the-new-version-of-raspbian Starting with a fresh install of Raspbian Buster: sudo apt update sudo apt full-upgrade sudo reboot sudo apt update sudo ...

Re: wacom bamboo ctl-470 has no pressure

Why not just install xserver-xorg-input-wacom, libwacom-bin, libwacom2 and libwacom-common etcetera from the Raspbian repositories, t Well, i had to stop trying to use this because a 8gb sd card isn't something i should be using for this. I got a new 64gb card for a brand new install of raspbian an...

Re: [DEV] LineageOS 16.0 (Android 9) for Raspberry Pi 3 B and B+

I tried this, and... am I doing something wrong? Download image, burn it to sd card with win32diskimager, stick sd card to raspberry and power it up. That's how it goes, right? It took... quite a while to boot. About 10 minutes, I think. After that, the screen was just a really small square on my mo...

I'm interested in this even tho I only have the 3b+ in my hands. Tried running android on it to get things started, but man does it feel BUGGY. Is there a decent android OS for Raspberry? I tried LineageOS 16.0 and it looks like garbage, tho i'm not sure if it's a software or hardware issue. [Probab...

Re: wacom bamboo ctl-470 has no pressure

Thank you, guys. I'm slowly making my way closer to making this thing work. So, I installed the rasperry kernel headers (pretty big package, it ate up 100+mb) and was able to build the x driver as instructed by the page I mentioned before. I don't think any errors happened in the proccess, but addin...

Re: Can't run sysbench?

Whats the matter with the bash shell on your Pi???? (all the error messages about "let") You may add this line to /boot/config.txt to set the early throttling to start at 70C instead of 60C. temp_soft_limit=70 but really you should try to improve the cooling in any way possible. I really have no id...

Re: Need a case, heatsinks and fan. Also "is this a bad case?"

I know about that case, it has some variations (no fan, one fan, two fans) and it really looks like a good cooling option all things considered. Still might be better for projects instead of an actual case tho. I'm almost tempted to run through Ltolledo's posts and see if they posted any tutorial ab...

Re: STICKY: Setting up HDMI output when video output is wrong.

Ok, i believe posting a question here would be better than a new post for this subject. So, my pi and its cables are working fine, but for some reason I can't make it output to my Home Theater. I kinda wanted to take advantage of the sound system since it's HDMI anyway and some games/videos support ...

Kintaro might not, but it is "dispatched by Amazon", maybe amazon do? Alright, I'm extra confused. On the product page I get this: "This item does not ship to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Please check other sellers who may ship internationally. Learn more" But specifically on the international shipping ...

LTolledo, thanks for the infos, I'm not sure about the pi being hacked but guess it's better safe than sorry. Some more things arrived, and now I can fiddle with it a bit better. One of the things I found out is that it won't send HDMI data to things that aren't screens, or so it seems. I probably n...
