Re: Some basic Camera questions

Thanks for your response, one follow up question:

So I could just start my Pi in terminal mode and then preview the video from the terminal?

Some basic Camera questions

Re: Prevent SD-Card Corruption

I also have a lot of SD card corruption problems, I don't overclock, have a decent power supply and shut down the PI correctly. For some reason the raspberry pi corrupts the SD card at random and I need to restore a backup every week in order for it not to corrupt. I've tried 4 different brands and ...

Re: PHP_serial and Arduino readPort() "funnyness"

I created the ArduinoPi and have quite some experience with php and serial port. I created a working API that you use with PHP or Python. More explanation can be found here: http://www.fr Also note that I didnt connect my Arduino through USB with the Raspberry Pi, I used the breakout pins (and they...

Re: PHP_serial and Arduino readPort() "funnyness"

Have you seen these http://www.phpclasses.org/discuss/package/3679/ - couple of others having similar issues... Someone has used it, but not sure how succesfully http://www. Off the cuff stuff based on some past experience in serial comms (not php or arduino): - does the flush have to be called aft...

Bluetooth Dongle not automatically Pairing with BlueSmirf

Hello, I've setup Bluetooth on my RaspPi and attempted to connect to my BlueSmirf from sparkfun. I can send text to my BlueSmirf from the RaspberryPi using: echo "Testing" > /dev/rfcomm0 Now the red led on my BlueSmirf indicates its not paired with a device, only when I use cat /dev/rfcomm0 the rasp...

Re: config.txt reset after reboot

You don't say which OS image you have used though I haven't heard that any of them are set to automatically re-write config.txt. Try this: 1. Boot the RPi and make a simple change to config.txt. Just put '# this is a comment' as the last line. (Don't include the quote marks.) 2. Exit and save. 3. T...

Re: config.txt reset after reboot

Found that in the forums and tryed it, no luck at all.

I've also tryed resetting my SD card (reloading the image) starting fresh but still the same happens,

Is there a log of the last boot (and what happens) maybe it will result in a problem/solution

thanks!

Re: No keyboard works

Look at the wiki for keyboard that are know to work (and also the once that don't work for sure). http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripherals I also had this problem since I used wireless keyboard that drained to much current and the keyboard failed. Try a wired one. Also start the pi without the keyb...

config.txt reset after reboot

Hellow, After searching around I don't find the solution, so lets post it on the forums! First I change 3 values in my config.txt file (in /boot) to overclock my raspberry pi, I started with changing the freq to 800Mhz but after I get my issues I also tryed smaller steps. The problem is that I chang...
