Re: Scummvm DISPMANX for Raspberry Pi

Hi Vanfanel , I saw that your are trying to push your path upstream : https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/pull/575 It seems that recently a port of scummvm to SDL2 has landed in the git repository https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/pull/572 I'm sure you know there is a dispmanx backend included in SD...

Re: Farnell - element 14 force consumers to buy from retaile

Now it's 60.30€ for *one* unit. Crazy Although this particular distributor does seem to charge a lot of P&P, many places in the rest of the world, not just the UK, get its at more sensible rates. Just for records, which distributor are you talking about? I'm talking about minifo.be, the only distri...

Re: Farnell - element 14 force consumers to buy from retaile

In short, i find this sad and ridiculous. Same story here :( The first one cost me 42.40€ Now it's 60.30€ for *one* unit. Crazy The RPi foundation should do something about this, it will cost them credibility and customers. I'm ok with the fact that nobody outside UK can get a rpi at the announced ...

Re: OpenArena on Raspbian?

I got it working. But it's slow, you will have to tweak q3config.cfg to disabled a lot of stuff you need the ioquake3 package from http://twolife.be/raspbian/pool/main/ioquake3/ and the openarena one from http://twolife.be/raspbian/pool/main/openarena/ use "dpkg -i" to install them & "apt-get -f ins...

Re: accelerated desktop with wayland / weston

Hi, If i'm not misreading http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/wayland-devel/2012-July/thread.html#4369 , it seems that weston is not ready to run on the pi right now. There is basically 3 backends available : - drm/KMS/mesa - android - x11 (to run weston inside X11) So, somebody will have to write...

Re: Packages from debian you want to see in raspbian reposit

i know that raspbians goal is to stick as close to debian wheezy as possible. is there room for discussion about that ? what about newer releases of softwares which include new features specificaly developped for the RPi ? - should i just bribe someone to get those packages included in Raspbian? - s...
