Re: How2 Install & Use SDL2 on Raspbian PI

Just a quick update, we've added instructions on how to cross compile from Desktop Linux, most issues should be ironed out. As always, feedback is most welcome!

Re: How2 Install & Use SDL2 on RPI

I've recently added proper support for the Raspberry Pi in SDL2 that works without X (including OpenGL ES 2.x, input, mouse pointer, etc) . You have to fetch the code from Mercurial (the 2.0 release does not support this), or get the binaries I made here

Re: SDL hardware acceleration

We are testing a patch to add "X11 free" Raspberry support to SDL 2, feel free to try it out and provide feedback here: http://bugzilla.libsdl.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2005

Thanks!

It comes on a plastic pouch attached on the outside of the package. Every shipment should have it.

Re: The most expensive R-Pi of the world!

I got the paper bill from DHL's Argentina rip off (though they insist on calling it service!) so I can give you the breakdown: Raspberry Cost: 35 USD Shipping via DHL: 8 USD Custom Fee: 7.68 DHL handling fee: 36.30 USD So it seems I involuntarily signed up for the "Buy one, give one to DHL for free"...

Re: Argentina - DHL charged me 50usd to ship the Raspberry

Yes, everything that comes through the courier system (DHL, FEDEX, UPS, TNT) and is plugged to the 220V wall plug falls under the electrical safety regulation and you need to personally go pick it up to Buenos Aires even if you live thousands of km away. That's why RS and Farnell should be shipping ...

Re: Argentina - DHL charged me 50usd to ship the Raspberry

Does anyone know if Farnell is shipping to Argentina and with which system? We need a provider that ships via EMS, it's the che...

Re: The most expensive R-Pi of the world!

I ordered via RS Components, shipped via DHL to Argentina. I just got of the phone with DHL, they are charging me *49* USD in concept of custom fees and their handling (custom fees can not be more than 50%, so it's easy to see what a rip off this is), and to top it off you have to pay in advance via...
