Re: omxtx - open source transcoding example

I assumed it might be the test file's fault, so I downloaded the file "720p_capture_no_audio.ts" that was posted earlier in this thread. This shows the exact same behavior, even though it only contains one stream. Unfortunately that file is encoded in mpeg2video and I don't have an MPEG2-key install...

Re: omxtx - open source transcoding example

Thanks for the reply. Using sudo does indeed remove the segmentation fault, but that's all it does. The output stops one line earlier and there is no output file. sudo ./omxtx test.mpeg test.mp4 Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from 'test.mpeg': Metadata: major_brand : mp42 minor_version : 0 compa...

Re: omxtx - open source transcoding example

I am trying to get omxtx to run and now I have managed to compile it. Unfortunately it runs into a segmentation fault right after analyzing the input. This is what it logs out: ./omxtx test.mpeg test.mp4 Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from 'test.mpeg': Metadata: major_brand : mp42 minor_version ...

Re: Farnell VS RS delivery times

Isn't it obvious why RS has longer delivery times?
They offer cases and power supplies as well, so most of us will order there. Also in the blog entry they were listed first which will also lead to more orders on their site.

Re: Noob questions...

The idea that you need a decent USB Hub for the Model "A" but not for the Model "B" is a bit of a farce but personally I would recomend the "B" not only does it carry more memory If you have a home router (most people do these days then with the ethernet your on line just by plugging in. Model A wi...

Re: Why not program on x86 desktop?

I'd like to add a few points to the discussion: 1. Setting up a Virtual machine so you don't need to buy a RPi? Seriously, who does that? That's like making your living room water proof so you don't need to buy a bath tub. 2. It has been mentioned before, but to me it's the most important advantage ...
