Re: can i plug old monitor's built-in speakers into the pi3?

Yes. The monitor audio input should be line level, which the Pi can drive without a problem. https://0.allegroimg.com/original/0c5e75/ad4514754a5280293ce1ecda8d90 yeah from looking at images of the monitor that seems to be the case, the speakers are definitely self-powered internally. I don't know ...

can i plug old monitor's built-in speakers into the pi3?

i read the old posts about the audio port of the pi3 not working with pc speakers due to insufficient power, but what about old monitors with built in speakers which draws power from monitor's power supply? will the pi3 be able to output audio if its connected to the built-in speakers that way? (i h...

Re: HDMI to VGA Converter w/Audio from Pi-Supply.com

thanks so much for clearing this up for me and for providing the config solution, i definitely need it incase it doesn't work.

i found some converters that can draw additional power through a usb cable, i think i'll go buy one of those and give it a try.

where to buy good quality 10inch monitor for raspberry pi?

there's alot of cheap 10inch monitors on ebay from china, but they seem pretty shoddily made and i don't want them to catch fire and burn my house down. i remember hearing on the news about CRT TVs catching fire and tourching people's living rooms back in the 1990s so that's why. so i guess i wanted...

can abrupt shutdowns cause OS to be corrupted?

i usually just flip the switch on the power-strip to turn the pi3 off, even while its playing videos or running games.

will this cause the OS to become corrupted? or cause data corruption of my stuff on the SD-card?

thanks for letting me know!

Re: Lakka developers refusing to let people download old builds on their Pi3

https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/6066 looks like one of the Lakka staff got into a verbal spat with a developer who was making a core for Lakka. they were angry and upset at said developer for his choice to make his core closed source, and accused him of having violating GPL3 license, wh...

Re: Lakka developers refusing to let people download old builds on their Pi3

yes they said it was an internal server error, but they did not want to give me an even older v2.2.1 build from 2018 even after i directly contacted them. the older build was previously available for download on their website up until a few days ago but now they won't let me have it. so i just wante...

Lakka developers refusing to let people download old builds on their Pi3

several days ago the Lakka developers had deleted all of their stable and older downloads of Lakka for the pi3, they intially claimed it was an accident but when i asked them for a download of their older build of Lakka, they simply refused to help on multiple occasions, and ignore my question of wh...

does the bluetooth chip on PI3 constasntly emits radiation?

there's a lot of talk about a potential link between brain cancer and apple airpods recently, so i'm wondering when i'm using a rapsberry pi 3 in close proximity for long duration, is the bluetooth chip and wifi constantly turned on by default? if so, is there a way to turn it off? i'm legitimately ...

is dead 3V3 a widespread issue?

TL;DR : Batch of new Pi3B+'s - 2 out of 6 of them have the "known" 3v3 problem and are DOA. Yet another short-lived RPi 3B+ with dead 3V3. Is this a problem with the voltage supply chip as suggested by Burngate? https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=219898#p1353974 i bought a rasp...

Re: pi3B+ flashing red & green led lights, not displaying anything on T.V

i've figured out what the problem is. apparently the 0.9 version of "win32disk imager" does not flash SD cards properly, it is an absolutely non-functional, broken piece of software that simply did not do what it was supposed to do, and thus is the root cause of all the troubles i've been having. my...

It might be easier to just start a new account with the new name and email address. If you're worried about someone logging on with the old one and pretending to be you, the mods could ban that account from further access. i didn't think that creating multiple accounts on the same forum would be al...

will Raspberry Pi 3 fry if i use a 5V/850mA power supply?

i've read on the official wiki that a 5V/2000mA power supply is recommended for the Raspberry Pi 3 model B+. so a month ago i ordered a USB power adapter on ebay which matched this criteria. today i got the package but apparently the seller sent me an under-powered usb adapter of 5V/850mA i need to ...
