how to attach or map my QNAP NAS to VLC player permanently in RPi 3b+

I am trying to attach/map/mount my QNAP NAS to VLC permanently so that I could access the content on NAS in rPi 3b+.

Would appreciate it if you could provide step by step instructions to follow to achieve this.

I have changed the booting sequence from microSD card to USB HDD by changing the setting "program_usb_boot_mode=1" in /boot/config.txt. This is successful and I am able to boot from USB HDD.
