Re: Pi2 - no booting / bad extra_isize error

Well, I tried using "sudo fsck -y /dev/sda2" and it ran through a TON of fixing, but in the end still wouldn't mount. :-(

I also tried using the "-p" option and that just gave up right away and said I needed to run fsck manually.

Oh well, thanks for the info.

Re: Pi2 - no booting / bad extra_isize error

Your SD card is damaged. You may be able to recover the data off it if you can plug it into a card reader on a computer running Linux. Hi @dgordon42, I just had a very similar problem, and I'm at the point where I have a fresh pi with the bad sd card inserted as a usb drive. I tried mounting the /d...

Re: Corrupt SD. Can I recover files?

Hi, I had a card recently go bad after a month or so of use. I was using it as a influxdb device, writing to it over http API. I tried your method here (thank you for posting!!) and it helped at least identify what's bad with my card. I used this post to see how to mount the usb device. Here are the...

Re: MAME issue with Adafruit USB sound card

I believe I'm having this exact same issue. If you look, you'll probably see a similar error message to the one I'm seeing. I see lvl0: VolumeControl::init() - Failed to find mixer elements! And I can get this just by changing the audio card in the /etc/asound.conf file from the USB audio card (for ...

Yea, true. But maybe someone else knows something? I can hope at least. :-) Anyway, it was good that he shared his schematic and cad files.

Re: Simple I2S DAC based on PCM5102A

Hi Wallace, I too made a reference design board. I'm debugging it now and wondered if you had any debugging tips. I see what looks like good bck and lrck signals and voltages out of pi p5 header and into pcm5102a. I checked for shorts an voltage pins on 5102a and from my regulator. I just don't get ...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 7 available

Hi, I'm having an awful time with crackling audio (pops and clicks). I just tried this rpi-update, did a reboot, and reinstalled squeezelite but still have the issue. My setup is: - rev B RPI setup with wifi usb dongle - 1amp charger (Kodak K20) - Behringer UCA202 - Sonic Impact 5066 15-Watt Portabl...

Re: Problems with rpi-clone

"billw" kindly spent a lot of time working with me on this problem. There is nothing wrong with the "rpi-clone" script. Contributing factors seem to be: (1) The external SD card may be automatically mounted or "claimed" by File Manager. It is necessary to make sure the card is unmounted before runn...

Re: Making an Image file

RPI-clone (latest is on git hub here: https://github.com/billw2/rpi-clone) is THE best!!! Thanks Bill! It takes about 40-50 min for me, but it worked right out of the gate. I was sure to do "apt-get update" and "apt-get install rsync" before using.

Yes, I second chorlton2080's comments!! Thank you so much Bill for sharing your script and putting the time into this! I've applied the patch to the Raspbian kernel, this is the new repository: Frank, Thanks for the Raspbian patch. I got my DS18B20 sensor probe working after some trial and error. Using wiringPi for Perl

Hi, I used git to clone the source from https://github.com/WiringPi/WiringPi-Perl and I was able to compile it with the build.sh (after updating it to point to the proper perl location) and that gave me a wiringpi.so. But I guess I'm not quite clear on the best way to use that. And then what I'm rea...

Re: Setting the 3.5mm Analog Audio Out to Stereo?

Well, I guess don't believe everything your read. I just downloaded left.mp3 and right.mp3 from here, and played them. http://www.richardfarrar.com/are-your-speakers-wired-correctly/ They work perfectly as they should. So the amixer details on PCM I guess is just lying or just very confusing with wh...

No, it is stereo.
Do you mean stereo plug? Or do you mean I can actually play Left and Right audio out the 3.5mm jack? Do you know how to setup PCM to be stereo?

Setting the 3.5mm Analog Audio Out to Stereo?

Hi, Does anyone know how to set the headset 3.5mm audio out to Stereo? I followed the help here http://blog.ziade.org/2012/07/01/a-raspberry-pi-juke-box-how-to/ to get audio working, and then found out how to control volume with amixer. So then when I type amixer I get this: [email protected]:/home/j...

Setting the volume for 3.5mm jack

Hi, So I got audio playing just fine, but I can't seem to change the volume. I'm trying to find a way to use amixer to change this, but I need some help. To play audio, I just type "aplay xyz.wav" and I get audio on headsets plugged into the 3.5mm jack. So I tried this to set volume, but I don't see...

Is there a way to read /sys/class/gpio over the network?

Hi,
NFS doesn't seem to allow exporting /sys/class/gpio. So anyone know of a way (other than running apache and just serving up the gpio state in HTTP) to read gpio on raspi 1 from raspi2 over the network?

Thanks!
