Re: Raspberry Pi Won't Boot, Red Power Light Only

I was able to recover from something similar. I used the dd command (http://elinux.org/RPi_Easy_SD_Card_Setup) to copy Xbian(XBMC) to my SD card. I put in the SD card and plugged in the power both the top green light and red light came on, the green light went out and then the red light stayed on in...

Re: raspbian transmission-daemon torrents always "Idle"

I finally seem to have gotten it to work. I am not entirely sure what did it, but after I clicked on the "Restore Defaults" button in my router settings everything seemed to start working. This link may be useful for somebody installing transmission-daemon in raspbian: https://trac.transmissionbt.co...

I am able to add torrents with the following command: transmission-remote -a http://downloads.raspberrypi.org/NOOBS_lite_latest.torrent That...

rsync 14 gigs crashes RPi arch and pidora

Hi, I'm trying to setup one of my RPis to back up some folders on my laptop. I have everything setup and working with ssh keys, cron job and a small script I wrote using rsync. It seems to work fine for relatively small folders/data but for anything that takes some time to sync like around 14 gigs i...

Re: Wipi can't make it work

Maybe this will help someone. I just setup the WIPI on arch linux using netctl as follows: install netctl (if it's not already installed) https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Netctl auto generate a config file in /etc/netctl # sudo wifi-menu -o don't see your wireless connection? show access points....

Re: HOWTO: YouTube on the Raspberry Pi - sans X B-)

I am using arch so I downloaded the whitey tarball from https://aur.archlinux.org/ . (youtube-dl is available in community 'pacman -S youtube-dl') After extracting the tarball, I did the typical arch install with 'makepkg -s' and then 'pacman -U whitey-0.1-2-any.pkg.tar.xz'. But I didn't edit the __...
