Integrate pywws in python script

Hi, I am looking for a way to get actual weather data into simple python variables. Right now I am using a WH1080 with pywws. ( https://github.com/jim-easterbrook/pywws ) The tool works, but I would like to store and my data otherwise. Currently, I can not figure out a way to read out values in my o...

SPI-EEPROM Full-Dump

Hello, Iam looking for a way to read out complete contents of an SPI-EEPROM. I would prefer a solution with spidev an python. Can someone provide a good idea, without specifying every single byte to read? It should be universal to every size of EEPROM. I would like to a a full-dump. Perfectly in a h...

gpio_slew and gpio_hysteresis?

Hello,

can somebody please explain, what slew and hysteresis are for?
These are parameters you can find in the eeprom settings.
In which cases will I need this settings?

gpio_drive sets the maximal current for all usable GPIO pins? (for ex. 16 mA per pin?)

Thanks in advance

Re: Python Network Trigger

Additional Info:

I want to receive a direct message.
Im able to for ex. generate a textfile or a mysql entry and do a regular poll with the second Pi.

Im looking for a (in my opinion) better solution and sending a direct trigger via network.

Thanks

Python Network Trigger

Hello, Im going to plan a project with two Pis. The first one should act as an alarm-system a few kilometers away. The Pi is connected via UMTS to the internet and is a member of my hamachi network. The second one is in my house and also in the same hamachi network. In theory both can communicate li...

Re: Defining GPIO state with EEPROM

I am really wondering if it is already possible, to load the GPIO-Settings in the EEPROM on startup.

I haven`t found any information about using it in reality ;-)
Are there any information how to set up the Pi to use it or is there still something missing?

Thanks :-)

Defining GPIO state with EEPROM

Hello, I finally get to work the access to an EEPROM on i2c-0. Since I plan to create my own HAT, I try to setup my GPIOs via the EEPROM. To start, I used the template from the RPi-Prototype-HAT by Watterott. I managed to flash the EEPROM and also read the content back to a file. I also changed a GP...

Raspberry Pi PCB supplier

Hey everyone,

just for my own interest. Is the manufacturer(s) of the PCB known and public?
I just ask for the board itself, not the assembly process.

Or is it a confidential information?

Thanks

Serial command to arduino with several bytes

Hi everybody. I`m just looking for a hint to read out the serial communication from the raspberry pi. I`m quite new in C, so I think it might be very easy ;) Situation: for ex: RasPi: (python) serial.write(motora, forward, speed) Arduino: (C) com= Serial.read() -'0'; if (com == .... and so on) But I...

Re: Event_detect / interrupt speed?

Ok thank you.
Now I got it.
I also found this topic that relates to mine: http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewt ... 81&t=63203

One (hopefully) last question:
How do I convert the ticks into ms or s?

Thanks

Thank you.

But why? ;-)
Do you have any explanation why pigpio is faster than RPi.GPIO?

Thanks

Event_detect / interrupt speed?

Hello everybody, I wondered how fast the Pi can recognize events that are triggered with the event detection of RPi.GPIO. For example a speed measurement. One startsensor, one endsensor. Will there be a significant delay? A systematic delay? How good is the repeatability? Do you have any experiences...

SPI Read

Hi everybody. I try to operate a digital potentiometer (MCP4132) with the Raspberry Pi Datasheet: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/22060b.pdf I already figured out successfully how to write the wiper position, to set the resistor. But I would like to read back the acutal position. On ...

Hey, richtig cooles Teil.

Hey, yes i store all the data of characters in files, and the other cards are defined in the code. At the moment I got some help to "decrypt" my code and solve it in a clean way, according to OOP. As a result, I want all the data in a database or filesystem. So I can add or change cardtypes anytime,...

Send image to Apple TV?

Hey, I wondered if it would be possible to send images via airplay to an Apple TV. Receiving audio with the RPi is already possible. So, is there a way to make the RPi send media over airplay? It would also be nice to mirror the whole screen, like you can do with iPhone or iPad. Thanks in advance.
