Re: Touchscreen Calibration

Found my own answer. Did it through a udev rule.

Re: Touchscreen Calibration

Continued to do research and I found the xtcal tool, and managed to calibrate through it. I used xinput set-prop 9 'Coordinate Transformation Matrix' a b c d e f g h j And it did the trick. If I want this to be permanent, where is this setting stored? The 99-calibration.conf file is not working.

Touchscreen Calibration

I'm trying to calibrate a 13.3" resistive touch panel I have running with a Raspberry Pi 3 b+. I'm using Texas Instruments TSC2007 via i2c and after enabling the module on the Kernel, and creating the device tree file it appears to be working fine, however I cannot get the calibration to take. I ran...

Re: Overlay for TSC2007 Touch controller

Alright, making some progress. I went and added the following to an xorg conf file: Section "InputClass" Identifier "TSC2007 touchscreen class" MatchProduct "TSC2007 Touchscreen" MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*" Driver "evdev" EndSection Now it's being picked up by X. Screen is mirrored and rotat...

Re: Overlay for TSC2007 Touch controller

That's a good attempt, but you were misled by the GPIO and interrupt declarations in the example - "<&gpio4 0 0>". The "4" in "gpio4" is presumably GPIO controller number 4, rather than GPIO 4. The two integers after that are the index of the GPIO on that controller and the flags - 0 means active h...

Overlay for TSC2007 Touch controller

I'm having issues creating an overlay for the TSC2007 chip (for now I'm testing with the TSC2007EVM board), this is what I have: /dts-v1/; /plugin/; / { compatible = "brcm,bcm2835", "brcm,bcm2708", "brcm,bcm2709"; [email protected] { target = <&gpio>; __overlay__ { tsc2007_pins: tsc2007_pins { brcm,pins = ...

Re: Interfaing RPi 3b+ with STMPE610 (Res Touch Controller) via i2c

I figured it out. That interrupt is an open-drain pin so it needed a pull-up resistor. I added a 10K resistor pulling up to 3.3V and now I see i2c traffic on the lines.

I can't however get the screen properly calibrated yet.

Interfaing RPi 3b+ with STMPE610 (Res Touch Controller) via i2c

I'm building a prototype utilizing the new RasPi 3 B+ and I bought from Adafruit their breakout board for the STMPE 610. I am using my own TFT panel and my own touch panel. I have confirmed that the panel works by using the USB touch controller that came with it. I have also confirmed that the STMPE...
