Re: Using VGA monitors with the Pi 3

Today, I tried one of the Pi's that was turning on a monitor on a second monitor that would not turn on with a separate Pi. It turned on that other monitor as well. However, when I took a Pi that was not turning on a monitor and put it on a monitor that was being turned on by the other Pi, it would ...

Using VGA monitors with the Pi 3

Hello. I have four Raspberry Pi 3's that I am using. They are all connected to a VGA monitor with an HDMI to VGA adapter. The first day, all four of the PI's turned on the monitor displays. However, the second day, two of the displays would not turn on when plugged in to the Pi's. The monitors are f...

Re: Whoopee cushion project

I got the entire project working on a different Pi. It first worked with the two crocodile clips connected and then worked with the whoopee cushion contraption. Very strange that it wouldn't work on the other one. Maybe I had a line of code wrong. Thank you.

Re: Whoopee cushion project

A fellow teacher suggested I move the pin on the left to the first one as that is pin 2, and that is what the 2 in the code stands for. Now, when I touch the foil together on the two plates, it shuts down the Raspberry Pi. I tried to move the power cord from the power strip to the wall to see if tha...

Santa Infrared sensor-potentiometer

Can anybody tell me what the potentiometers are on the infrared sensors in the Santa infrared sensor project? Also, I don't understand the single trigger/repeat trigger options. How is the repeat trigger moved so that the infrared sensor is set to repeat trigger mode? Thanks.

Can't see the bottom of the Scratch 2 window to create a new sprite

Hello. On the Raspberry Pi 3 I am using, I am unable to see the bottom of the Scratch 2 window to create a new sprite. Clicking the - sign for the window has no effect on the Scratch 2 window. And, I can't move the interface up to see the lower part of the window. Has anybody else had this issue? Th...

Install school web certificate from storage

Hello. I am trying to install a school Web certificate on a Raspberry Pi. First of all, will an Android certificate work on the Pi? We don't have a Linux certificate. Second, how do I access the system tools folder to install the certificate once it's downloaded? When I did it for the Android phones...
