Re: pi2 dead unexpectly

I have been experiencing the lockup problem since day one of receiving my RPI 2, the first week it was released. I recently replaced the power adapter with an adapter that came with my iPad mini. I believe it supplies up to 3a over the 5v USB port. My pi has been running for 14 days now without inte...

Re: RPi 2 Model B Locking Up

Well, it was working fine for about a week. I have the RTL8192CU driver for wifi and use the RPI camera with motion for recording. I shut it down and restarted it and it started panicking at boot, after initializing the wifi. I pulled the wifi adapter and it would stay running and start crashing aga...

Re: RPi 2 Model B Locking Up

Sorry for not responding sooner. I don't have the physical adapter in front of me right now but I believe it was loading the rt2800usb driver. I'll track down the interface tonight and provide better information. Steve @stevecody: What chipset does your Canakit wifi adapter have? I just got a Canaki...

Re: RPi 2 Model B Locking Up

Ok. I've had the most success with the most recent change. I changed wireless adapters from the CanaKit adapter (not sure of the firmware) to the Edimax EW7811Un (Realtek TTL8188CUS) adapter and it has been completely stable.

I'm also running Motion, as someone else mentioned.

Re: RPi 2 Model B Locking Up

My RPI2 just came in last night (Feb 9, 2015) and I am having kernel panic issue as well. Initially, under Noobs, it was panicking whenever I ran a startx. I'm systematically removing/replacing various devices right now to see if there is anything that stops the crashing. I am now running the latest...

Re: kernel panic on 2015-01-31 raspian model B

Just got my RPI2 in the mail today. I'm having the same crashing issue. Installed using Noobs first. Had usb keyboard, mouse, and usb wifi adapter. It started out by crashing every time I would run startx. I removed the wifi adapter and it seemed to help. However, adding the Raspberry Pi camera caus...

Re: Model B doesnt Work, Model A Does?

Mattius,

Did the solder bridge take care of your issue with the camera? A friend and I both have the same problem with the model B and the cameras. It's very frustrating.

Thanks,
Steve

Re: MRTG?

Hey guys, I recently installed mrtg in the same manner as the original post. I also have the perl module errors. However, my MRTG is working fine. You can check it out here: http://codycrew.net/mrtg This is hosted on my Raspberry Pi running Apache and MRTG and that's about it. I do intend to researc...
