hexxeh has just added the ability to downgrade to a specific firmware version. Eg: rpi-update 240 9fa8696eef5ab1e89552d46a76710c7045483ef0 This function does not seem to work, with a updated script. Thanks, having looked at those I think it might be a power issue, as there was nothing in the dmesg log. Currently have the pi powered by a usb hub, which also connects my dvb-tuner. Maybe you got the same issue as us: https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/issues/98

Try and check your syslog or dmesg for errors, and report back.

Okay, the 240M build was broken. I've just pushed out a fix. (No change to other splits).
I am still getting the same timeout messages after applying the fix.
