Sounds plausable, however if composite were enabled shouldent any writes to "hdmi" go to composite and be "lost"? What I am seeing is that the image I was sending to hdmi is being over written on the lcd. fyi: When hdmi is connected, fb0 appears to be hdmi. fb1 is lcd. I hard code this in my call to...

No Dirks. I have a USB kbd connected to the rpi and 7inch screen. I am using the Rasbian GUI though.
