Edinburgh Scotland Raspberry Pi Users

Hello, I've been tinkering around with the Raspberry Pi , and have come to a point where I would really appreciate some assistance. Does anyone know of any Edinburgh based user groups, or even if there is an Edinburgh based user who would be willing to meet up? Thanks in advance if anyone can either...

Re: Latest Order and Shipping update from RS & Allied

Not that I can remember just how long ago I ordered mine from RS , but just got the following email .. Dear Raspberry Pi customer, Thank you for your continued patience in waiting for your Raspberry Pi order. By way of an extra thank you, we’re pleased to let you know that your order for a 256MB Ras...

Where to begin with an Arduino

I've been using my Pi almost at the centre of a Home cinema setup, having gotten ( thanks to this forum ) XBMC fully working and talking to my NAS. I've learnt how to install Chromium, amongst other things again thanks to this forum. But still consider myself to be a "wet behind the ears " beginner ...

Re: Two XBMC (.deb) compiled/prepared for users + instructio

Tomaz : I'd also like to echo my thanks for this thread. I am new to Linux and received my Pi today, but already have XBMC up and running on it. For a brief moment I had even got my android phone with the XBMC software working, but not sure what I did to do it ! But mainly wanted to stop by to say t...

Re: oredered from Farnell

I'd say the glut is over, I've got an order with RS Components, that I've no idea when that one will arrive.

However , I placed an order yesterday afternoon ( While at work ) with Farnell, and at 1420hrs today, I received the shipment email from Farnell.

Hope this information assists others here.

Re: Amiga Roms for Raspberry Pi

I don't know what the possibilities and legalities are, but rather than emulate the Amiga on the Pi , I'd like to see the actual code for games from the Amiga/ C64 etc, made available in the public domain. Imagine being able to update the code for such games as Moonstone , the Last Ninja series etc....

Re: Order and Shipping update from RS & Allied

I called Farnell on 08447 11 11 11 out of interest to see what their sales department are advising.

They've currently got 458 units on back order, and sales have no update further to it still being 5 weeks lead time.
