? What's a 'proper' ethernet implementation?

The one in which ethernet chip is not connected to USB which can cause all sorts of problems.

Surely a implementation that works is 'proper'?

No. If it is not rock-solid I don't think it is 'proper'.

I was looking for alternatives, but all of them has minuses (not perfect software, prices). So probably will fight with Pi 2

I think Odroid-c1 has a proper ethernet implementation for the same price as Raspberry Pi.

RS Components is a reputable company which advertises this power supply as an accessory to raspi. I can't imagine them selling it without properly testing it. The power supply was 1.2A from RS Components so it can't have been dodgy.
I guess I won't risk it the second time since not much has changes in the latest model.

As far as I understand, both USB and ethernet ports share the same bus (or something like that) which caused ethernet to drop occasionally. I know it invariably did in my case so I wonder if B+ now has the separate buses for ethernet and USB?

Is the LAN and USB implementation in Model B+ any different from Model B?
I used to have a Model B but I sold it because after a few days I would lose ethernet connectivity.
I need a rock-solid ethernet connection so I wonder if things have improved in Model B+?

I use pisnes because it gives a much better analogue sound quality.
This is probably due to the analogue sound being more CPU intensive than digital HDMI sound.

If it is any consolation, I have the same issue not just on NES emulation but many others.
I use a CRT TV.

Remove "#" in front of sdtv_mode=2 and reboot.
Don't touch anything else in that file.

That's what it does.
Having to zoom each page several times is a pain in the neck, hence this program was developed.

k2pdfopt gives much better results than calibre.
I haven't tried that adobe program but Kindle can view pdfs but you need to zoom every page which isn't very comfortable.

I converted all magpi magazines to pdfs that can be viewed on Kindle 4 by using this program:

The result isn't perfect but it is pretty good.

It is possible because I'm using it, just not with external hdd, but with roms on a different partition on the SD card. First, you need to mount your hdd. I'm not rs components account holder and when I ordered raspi camera, I got free delivery to my country.
I was pleasantly surprised because when I ordered raspi board, I was charged around 6 euros for delivery.

Try playing Axelay without overclocking and report FPS stats.
That game is unplayable unless overclocked at at least 900MHz.
Only at 1000MHz does it run full speed (PAL version).
