Re: GPIO access with Pi 4 Flirc Case

See https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=248516 . The bottom line is that provided you get and use a cable with narrow connectors referred to in that thread and in the Flirc case FAQ, there is no significant problem. Obviously, you have to connect the cable before you assemble th...

Re: Access to GPIO connector in a Flirc Case

pfletch101, You say that you got one of the Octopart ribbon cable GPIO extender cable to suit a Pi 4 in a Flirc case? I'm looking for the female to male type but struggling to identify it from the Octopart product list - if you got the male to female sort, what type number was yours? I'm afraid tha...

Re: WD PiDrive problem accessing

Using File Manager I can see the directory structure with media/pi/data2 and media/pi/System but both /data2 and /System display only <No subfolders> From your comment '...running the desktop and letting automounter take care of things' I figure there must be another way? I'd continued searching and...

Re: WD PiDrive on Pi 3

Hi Aydan, I simply connected it using the WD supplied cable, set the config.txt to high power USB and ran up the Pi. Didn't appreciate that I'd need to mount it. I'd running Raspbian latest version. So, do I need to remove and re-install correctly? Just wasn't too sure that I wanted the WD suggested...

WD PiDrive on Pi 3

I've recently received my PiDrive case and cable - so I decided to get the WD 314G PiDrive up ans running. All went well but I didn't elect to write a new SD card with berryboot but just use the HD as file and data storage - that's when I hit a problem. Although I can 'see' the drive using file mana...

Re: Pausing the POST diagnostic screen

Hi klricks, Thanks for the extremely prompt assistance. Yes I appreciate that the RPi doesn´t really have a POST, however, I had to put something in the message header that would garner the right type of interest :D Your suggestion appeared to work fine and shows a number of lines indicating errors....

Pausing the POST diagnostic screen

I´ve recently installed CUPS on my (soooperrbb!) Raspberry Pi 3 and now, as the POST screen scrolls past I see a red flag against one of the entries. Trouble is it scrolls past so quickly I can´t read it.
How do I pause the scrolling POST screen?

Altered overscan - now no video

Hi there, After breaking the SD card socket on my original RPi, I ordered a replacement from Farnell. Extremely fast delivery considering the Easter break. Anyhow, it arrived earlier today and I got it up and running using a new 8gb card and new Wheezy download image. Got the display sorted (I'm usi...
